Bellinter House Hosts Special Screening of Macha
Ardán Collective was proud to host a screening of Macha at Bellinter House Hotel & Spa in Navan, County Meath. Written by and starring Niamh Mahony and directed by Shane Robinson, the Irish short film blends contemporary drama with Irish mythology to raise awareness of endometriosis and ensure those affected feel heard and believed. Macha premiered at the Galway Film Fleadh in July. Guests joined us to celebrate this important film.
The event and Ardán Collective’s support for the film were featured by Travel Extra and HotelNews.ie. The screening also received a full-page feature in the print edition of the Meath Chronicle, celebrating the cast, filmmakers and guests. Endometriosis awareness is a cause we truly believe in, and we were honoured to host an event supporting this important Irish story. We are delighted that this coverage is helping the film’s message reach more people across Ireland. We hope its message continues to inspire change. We wish the filmmakers every success with Macha.

Bellinter House Hotel & Spa was proud to join Ardán Collective in supporting Macha, a powerful Irish short film raising awareness of endometriosis through contemporary drama and Irish mythology.
Filmed across Bellinter House, Marine Hotel Sutton and Ballagh House, Macha follows Ana as she draws strength from the Irish goddess Macha after her pain is dismissed. Bellinter’s historic grounds and iconic Weeping Beech provided the atmospheric backdrop for the film’s mythological scenes.
Premiering at the Galway Film Fleadh in July 2026, Macha gives a voice to people living with endometriosis, a condition estimated to affect 155,000 women in Ireland. We are proud that our properties helped bring this important Irish story to the screen.
